(May 1995 - Dec 2000) The first issue of 'Neo Geo Freak' appeared in May 1995, published by Geibunsha. Aimed solely towards SNK goods, the magazine aimed to target the growing popularity of the Neo Geo, this despite appearing quite late in the machine's lifespan (1990-2003).
The idea was relatively sound: the Neo Geo was at the peak of its popularity, and many of the games required a hefty amount of coverage. During its lifespan it was hands down the most important Neo Geo magazine in the world, lasting right up the the unfortunate bankrupcy of SNK. Lasted longer than Gamest (September 1999).
