Sega's fantastic tribute to the 1983 movie Blue Thunder comes home to the Mark III in rather downgraded form - so much it's near unrecognisable. But the game remains surprisingly fast, and very challenging. Standard 'Gold Cartridge' cardboard packaging, 2Mbit cartridge, monochrome booklet.

Released on launch day with the machine, the MD Super Thunder Blade is more of an enhanced remake than a sequel. Sadly it is also a relatively poor showcase of the Mega Drive's abilities. It keeps a little flavour of the arcade, but Sega really should have done better with this one. Standard MD packaging, 16Mbit cartridge, colour booklet.
