Capcom's very first SFC release was this nigh-on superb port of their arcade smash.
It may be 1P only (missing Guy) yet it plays like a dream; and aside from Nintendo's efforts was the best early release for the machine.
A top seller in its day, but the price is rising: it is becoming surprisingly hard to find in good condition.

Wow - the X68000 handles an amazingly accurate conversion of the arcade legend. A great game, a superb package, and a essential collector's item: it includes a bonus 8-track music CD (case, CD)

Sega's 1993 Mega-CD version took a while to arrive, but was really worth the wait. Everything you could possibly wish for is here: 2-player mode, remixed CD soundtrack, and an all-new 'Time Attack' game featuring 3 original stages.
An essential game in every respect, hands-down one of the best releases on Mega-CD.

It's 2001, and the GBA gets its own version of the arcade cult classic, throwing in a few little extras of its own (2-player link-up mode, hidden costumes etc).
It has also become quite a sought-after GBA title of late - is there no end to this game's popularity?

The games are emulated reasonably well, but the menus & presentation are really poor. Still, it's great value for money, and every game is a gem.
