The Famicom Dragon's Lair has next to nothing to do with the arcade original: this is more of an ugly, sluggish, and poorly designed platform game, 'inspired' by the original.

STATUS
If you thought the Famicom version was bad, then you might not be ready for this. Released as 'Dragon's Lair - The Legend' in the West, this nasty platform / puzzle botch-job of a game is something else to behold. What is wrong with these people? What is it they want?

Standard Game Boy packaging, 1MBit cartridge, instruction booklet.

STATUS
The avalanche of pisspoor Dragon's Lair titles continues with this middle-of-the-road action / platform game for the Super Famicom.
To be fair the game is nowhere near as bad as the FC / GB versions, but it's still a very embarrassing effort.

Standard SFC packaging, 4Mbit cartridge, colour booklet.

STATUS
The advent of home CD-Rom technology marked the dubious opportunity for 'accurate' versions Dragon's Lair to finally come home.
In fact, this is the kind of game that the 3DO was made for: pointless, linear and imbecilic 'interactive' nonsense.
Brilliant!

CD case, 3DO CD-ROM disc, colour booklet, spine card.

MEGA-CD
DETAILS

Released 3 June 1994
Publisher Sega

STATUS
The Mega-CD can't really compete with the 3DO in the field of Full Motion Video: the visuals are windowed and comparatively grainy.
But still - it's not a bad version, it comes nicely presented in a cardboard sleeve, and you can select from Japanese, English, French, Italian, or German voice-over tracks.

CD case, Mega-CD CD-ROM disc, colour booklet, cardboard presentation slipcase.
